Tally is trying to escape from New pretty town. but the only way out is over a bridge that she cant get to without passing somebody hiding in the bushes. She soon realizes that the person hiding in the bushes is an ugly just like herself, an ugly named Shay. They must depend on each other to get out of New Pretty town, or face the consequences.

Why do you think New Pretty Town advocates bungee jumping?
The only rule in New Pretty Town is to have fun, and bungee jumping is one of the best ways to go along with that rule.

The legend says that in the village Bunlap a man called Tamalie had a quarrel with his wife and she ran away and climbed a Banyan tree where she wrapped her ankles with liana vines. When Tamalie came up to her, the woman jumped from the tree and so did her husband not knowing what had his wife done. So he died but the woman survived. The men of Bunlap were very impressed by this performance and they began to practise such jumps in case they got in similar situation. This practice transformed into a ritual for rich yam harvest and also for proving manhood.

How do you feel about the friendship of Tally and Peris? Are they true best friends? Why or why not?
I beleve that Tally and peris aren't best friends as the used to be. I think this because Peris didn't act like he was excited to see Tally in New Pretty Town. instead, he told Tally to leave, and try to survive long enough to become a pretty fot Peris.
